Whoaaaaaaa, I just noticed that post claiming this is emo by the obvious brain surgeon/rocket scientist/poet laureate, usaidol.

Emo stands for emotional hardcore. If a band has lost all remnants of post-hardcore in their music, and, never were an emotional hardcore band to start, then how could they magically be given the genre emotional hardcore now that they're creating progressive infused pop punk and rock? That makes no sense.

Hahahahhahaha that guy is great! Making concept albums doesn't equal prog. Yes are more complex, talented musically (probably not lyrically), and prententious on top of being one of the bands that pushed progressive's boundaries. But it's not like I need to explain myself, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about, and can't seem to spell or space properly.

^^ he's right, concept albums =/= progressive. Also, C&C are less emo then you think, they do have emo qualities, but it does not define they're overall sound in the least bit.

Cravinov. 0 emo. I don't go into your nu-metal band reviews and claim Disturbed is emo. Don't be an idiot.

I don't see how anyone would see emo qualities in the band. I guess SSTB has post-hardcore influences, but was still nowhere close to being emo.

I feel the same way. The band is more or less straight-up rock with some progressive influences.

Disturbed isn't gross, they're one of the only nu-metal bands (now gone hard rock) worth listening too anymore. :D

I'm talking about an emo sound that makes people think they are emo. Get off my back you freaks.

I love this album. I don't think it's 'classic' though.

Cravinov, you can't feel emotional hardcore. That makes no sense. You're treating emo as if it's an emotion when it's really a genre.

Thursdayrage, you totally missed the point. Because both Disturbed and Co&Ca have no emo present in their music what I suggested is the same thing.

You guys just...don't get it do you.

Good album. A big improvement on what had come directly before. This isn't great though...at least not to me, anyway.

One day there will come a time when they won't try so hard to make such a 'huge' sounding album...and concentrate on what made them so cool to listen to a few years ago.

One day.
