go figure people would hate on this. Absolutely awesome album.
It actually is a pretty great album, but you really feel those comparisons with other bands and it's just a pretty big stretch, musically, from their other album.

I waited soooo long for this album to come out. It was my most highly anticipated album, and agree with this review 100%. I can't believe how disappointed I am.

Every time I hear this band I think "deathcore deathcore deathcore" so why do their fans keep calling them technical death metal? Are they dumb?

Deathcore is a derogatory term now, and mad kids don't want to think of their favorite band as a deathcore act. Or, previously-deathcore.

They have a lot of breakdowns in the deathcore style (not the kind of breakdowns that Cryptopsy or Suffocation have).

Planetary Duality is technical death metal.
Autotheism is progressive death metal.
