I remember it well.
Was like 14 and my Dad left this CD on the side while he was at work. Obviously hearing of Eminem but nothing of him other than 'My Name Is', I thought I'd jam.
Put it in the CD player and was just mesmerised from the get go. Kim from start to finish scared the shit out of me and I told my Dad when he got back from work how shell shocked I was.
He literally laughed and just said 'now you know what all the fuss is about'.

if I had to pick I'd go w/ criminal. the writing on this is pretty much flawless imo. any time I start listening to rap or hip hop (which isn't often these days) I just end up wondering why I'm not listening to this. kind of ruined the entire genre for me but I can't complain about this.
it's also amazing that Em managed to release one of the best albums of all time (this) and one of, if not, the absolute worst albums of all time (Encore)
