I think this album, in general, is an improvement from Exoplanet. All of the deathcore nonsense has been mostly scrapped, and what remains are some very original and diverse songs. They've simply decided to go in a direction where they can not waste their skills as musicians, and I respect that immensely. I'd argue that the melodies constructed on here are much better crafted than anything off of Exoplanet, except for maybe "Contact".

Interesting. I was hoping I'd feel that way, but then I realized that I couldn't really recall anything off this album. I mean with Exoplanet each moment was memorable, and yeah they got a little repetitive but I didn't even care since each part was done so well. Here it seems like the group is just stuck in a limbo between ambiance and heavier parts, and it comes across as too unnatural.

This pretty much plays like a 7 track ep

it sounds like they got rid of all the deathcore just cause they wanted to "evolve"...and whats left is this weird, awkward mix of ambience and cynic/btbam stuff......

exoplanet kills this

Exoplanet was only above average because of Flourish and Oscilattor, overall this is better.

But it is missing a song as strong as the aforementioned.

Is there a rating that goes lower than a 1 on this site?

After the first listen my impressions are: Oh my God, this album is fucking boring as fuck. And a disappointment on the level of Deconstruction by DTP. This may very well change on subsequent listens, though.

It has a couple of really cool tracks, but some bad ones too. My favorites are Cortical, Holomovement and Anatomy Anomalies - but Solipsis and Geocentric Confusion irk me to no end.

This album is anything but catchy, no single "wow" track on it. Well, perhaps that was the intention, since this album fells very much like ambient electronica all the way through.

the breakdown in feedback loop where they change everything up is good though, like "wow" good.

I remember not minding that one, but I definitely feel that the best "breakdown"-type part is the crazy one in Cortical.

I've only listened to this like 4 times and the most memorable part is just Holomovement

Why do I have a song called Stretched Mesh in between Geocentric Confusion and Dreaming Schematics and then no song called Parallel Trance?
