my god, night, aurora and celestial back to back are phenomenal. That guitar solo midway through celestial is just magical. Very spanish guitaresque. Reminds me a bit of what Before Today had going on.
These guys remind me of what Sevendust should have sounded like if they had gotten extremely creative in their songwriting and proficiently skilled with their respective crafts.
Should I be checking out Tesseract?

They split it up on the first album because they collaborated extensively with two vastly different vocalists and the resulting music was consequently quite different. Now that Tompkins is the permanent vocalist I doubt they're going to split up the album.

I understand the two records have differing themes and musical concepts, but I get that point without them having to split it up. Mark it as such on the track-listing and be done with it. Listening to a 3 song cd is underwhelming.

Anybody checking out the new singles? Evolution is fuckin' SEX! Patience is so completely unexpected that I was thrown off by it, but it's growing on me.

Evolution sounds alright. If the album's like this then I'm not gonna like it as much as Blinding White Noise, but it's still pretty beautiful.
