Deliverance is my least favourite album from Opeth. Kind of boring, never really did much for me.This Message Edited On 08.08.07

Weakness is one of most depressive songs I've heard, just fabulous, along with every other Opeth song.

Well I am glad I am not the only person who liked Death Whispered a Lullaby! It's been a while since I heard the album in it's entirety though. And please can we appreciate the musical genius of Opeth without knocking Dream Theater? They might not be Opeth, but the have certainly put out some very worthwhile pieces over the years, enough to not be called a "prog wank fest" I think I heard. Ending Credits was also a really interesting song, if only that it sounds like ending credits should sound? Maybe? As for Deliverance, I was not really too enthused over it, and would say that SL, GR and BP are all better.

lol @ the reviewer who said that Dream Theater makes their slow songs boring

But this CD is very, very good.

Best songs: Death Whispered a Lullaby, Hope Leaves, In My Time of Need

Worst:Closure

Amazing album 4.5/5

Again, lol @ reviewer for saying Dream Theater makes their slow songs boring

Good review overall (except for you-know-what) :DThis Message Edited On 11.20.07

Oh, and the most depressing/sad song ever is, indisputably, no questions asked

Nutshell by Alice in Chains

No comparison

That song is amazingly sad

Technically the majority of this isn't really slow, it's just toned-down and melancholic. What sort of term/excuse is that in comparison to harder stuff anyways? Slow... haha

Oh and this album is brilliant. 'Windowpane', 'Closure', 'Hope Leaves' especially, and 'Weakness' are just too good.

one of best albums I've ever heard in my life.....i hate he ending on closure though, the way it suddenly stops. Death Whispered A Lulluby is so beautiful. I don't know if I like this or Still Life better, but both are better that BwP imo
