Sister or Bad Moon are up for there for album experiences ig, but mmm the atmosphere here
|
| |
This is not even Top 5 Youth, you crazies
|
| |
bad eyelinerphobic take !

Bad Moon Rising, Sister, Daydream Nation, Confusion Is Sex, Washing Machine, and the debut are superior. Experimental Jet Set, A Thousand Leaves, NYC Ghosts, and Sonic Nurse are on par (tho EVOL is probably the best of that bunch tbh).
there's no wave like No Wave

Hmm this is probably a 5 yes.
Sorry but putting any 90s youth above this is insane
|
| |
Also nice Endless Train With A Spike rate.

I forgot about Goo, Goo’s better, too.

Gotta be honest, this one has always been the weakest of the pre-Geffen albums to me.
And I do have like 2-3 albums post-Geffen that I'd put above it (including the embarrassing NYC Ghosts).

Insane and wrong, now let's talk about and shill The Notekillers. What a shame it was that they didn't get enough attention in their prime.
|
| |
2nd best pre-geffen album after bad moon

"Sorry but putting any 90s youth above this is insane"

lmk when goo has something as grandiose as starpower or expressway
|
| |
gonna volte-face and say that Tunic does have a similar scuzzy bleary translucent draw to it on that front, but mmmmyes
|
| |
as if quality were a function of grandiosity
|
| |
lol thurston moore would expel you from ginsberg academy for that kind of algebraic nerdshit
|
| |
i'll take it one step further
f(grandiosity) ≠ quality
