gonna give this yet another spin in an attempt to discover the classic people see in this. i like the record but it never clicked with me the way it did for so many others

well for me the reason this is my favorite ambient album is because it provides the perfect escapist soundscape that i look for in music. all of my favorite albums are able to make me forget where i am and put me in the place where the music exists, both on a figurative and literal level.

i can just imagine standing in the arctic tundra with the northern lights over my head while this plays, and no other ambient album has been this evocative and synesthetic for me so far.

it may sound cheesy but thats what i look for in music most of the time. i tend to be a very visual listener and gravitate towards music that has its roots in a visual setting.

Well said, Hyp. I am very similar when it comes to ambient specifically. It sounds like I need to really delve into this. Only heard one Biosphere album, but I really enjoy it.

Yeh, this is amazing, maybe even perfect.

I didn't realise that two of the speech samples were from Twin Peaks until I watched the show last summer. 'Kobresia' is the best though, its fantastic.
