It took me a moment or two to realise it but this is so good. Love the combination of influences.

The heavier sections sound raw, yet they’ve incorporated melancholic violins & even cleans into this without it sounding messy. It’s fairly restrained in the song-length department as well, 5-7 minutes works well. Easily could’ve overdone this.



It feels like there’s a bit of a light/dark dynamic here, again though it isn’t grating & over-done, unlike that jarring Lykathea Aflame album I heard recently.
