I didn't neg this because I hate the rating. Your review was way too short considering what you were aiming at. If you're going to critisise an album like this, you NEED to be able to pull off a convincing review - this was not it.

i'm a little surprised how hard this is to follow, and i can kindof see where some of the criticism is coming from. i couldn't really describe what was bad about htdc and got kinda lazy in ignoring optimistic, in limbo and morning bell ..
but the potential cold and barren-ness of the title track and the 'turn that shit off' i hear during national anthem are a pair of legitimate points. Also, the claim that this is nothing new and the actual album is a scattered mess amount to 4 legitimate arguments in disliking this (more than i've ever heard before). It was hard (perhaps impossible) to actually tie these all together because i simply cannot and do not feel this way, and doing so ignores all that is brilliant about the album. Because truly genius artistic creations are riddled with flaws, so in the end all of these things only contribute to the brilliance in this thing.
At times I loathe Radiohead because they symbolize a false way to cope with a severe depression undergone in years past, and decided to follow a weird compulsion I had to express all that. was hoping it'll start up the urge to review legitimately again

@thebhoy - what you're saying is reasonable
the point i was hinting at is that it seems that the onus appears to be higher on people to justify why they dislike (or like) certain albums more than others. just because the overall consensus is that an album is a 4 or 5, doesn't invalidate one person's alternate opinion, particularly if they can demonstrate that they are overall pretty objective.

I think I may have to prove my point and review this, I got my focal point on pg. 3. I think this album is legitimately awesome because of the way I see it. I understand what is great about it and if you don't like this album, then you just don't understand it. If you don't understand it then you shouldn't review it. I'm bout to write a review about When Forever Comes Crashing because it is HIGHLY underrated, in fact I personally enjoy it more than Jane Doe, I would have finished it last night but I should have started the review in Word because I spent 3 hours on it then lost the entire thing by accidently clicking something. Bummer
