Gonna check this out. I really don't trust sputnik ratings and will probably rate this 1 but ultimately having another depressive funeral emotive doom metal band to embellish my deep, dark charts is definitely worth it.

i don't get what people mean when they say they dont trust the sputnik ratings. so the majority of the sputnik user base are stupid fucks to be overrating albums? not that it really applies to here coz of the niche genre but still..
im glad you cant rate albums with an average of over 4.2 less than 2

Sputnik ratings, aside for some distinct (but relatively few) cases, are pretty much the most objective music ratings I have ever witnessed inside and outside the net.
If you want overrated ratings, try blabbermouth or any national edition (Hellenic, German, Polish) of the Metal Hammer and all Germal rock/metal magazines.
I tried to give OK Computer a 1.5 and my web browser kept crashing
That's because, inherently, OK Computer is not "awful".

Some of the ratings are plain hideous. For instance, there is this blasphemy about Opeth ratings. Their discography should all be above 4.9 because every song they make is superb and god-tier. Every second and moment of their music is eargasmic and the transitions are so good they make the listener feel like they're on their journey to heaven and hell back and forth in one mere nanosecond. Every instrument works together and has this perfect blend of harmony, pushing every imaginable boundary of music and rivaled by none. Whereas emocore bands like Katatonia have their crappy discography rated above the deserving 2.5. The world is unfair!
Back on topic, I listened to one track from Paragon of Dissonance and it's pretty good. Might just be the AOTM for me if there's no growl because I can't stand metal growls.

if you can't stand growls you better stay away from this and avoid "skewing" avg album ratings
and i think wolfhorde was referring to shouso's comment? (at least i hope)
