I know I'm late to the party and this discussion has probably been rehashed a few hundred times on this site.. but had to say something. I get why some like Traced, some dislike (tracks too homogenous, his voice doesn't have enough emotion, blah blah), but to the guy that gave it a 1.5 - that's some serious trolling good sir.

p.s. skyrim shits all over oblivion's face and makes it look like it was a 7.5 game. It has the advantage of coming out several years later, but still.

Agreed about Oblivion vs. Skyrim (although this really isn't fair). To be honest, I didn't like Oblivion from the get-go. I applaud their effort to make such a vast and exciting landscape, but it was simply too much of the same, the combat system felt very fake and contrived, and moreover, the characters were poorly animated. All of what they promised seemed to be absent from the finished product and Skyrim fixes Oblivion's glaring mistakes.

As for Traced in Air, I'm the guy who gave it that 2/5 review 2 years ago, but I've since come to enjoy it a little bit. I get that they're not 'trying' to elicit an emotional response, and that's fine, but it just felt so blank to me.

"The former brilliantly places the listener in a middle-eastern bazaar as indistinguishable vocal intonations - evocative of African chant - weave in and out, and the latter buzzes along with harmonies and spoken-word both floating over this daydream-like aesthetic of ambiance. "

Wow really great review. Genius auditory/airy imagery^

Nice review! MAJOR step up from your last one in terms of pacing, use of imagery, and everything. Your opinion has also

improved ;)
