The best Zeppelin albums and one of the best albums ever, at least to me anyways. So many incredible and influential things to be heard on here. Easily 5/5. Nice review.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but track 5 says "Misty Mountain Top", it should be "Misty Mountain Hop".

oops, I guess someone already put that...
(I didn't really feel like reading all the reviews before)

I sometimes wonder If Stairway to heaven would as near as popular if it debuted now. I think it's sucess is purely based on a cult following. Whatever.

I think for alot of people it would. I heard it at the age of twelve without knowing of a "cult following".

I disagree, I believe that the majority of young people don't appreciate good music anymore, it would pretty much sink without a trace, hidden behind all the Rap, Pop and other mainstream music crap.

Well obviously anything that's "in" is going to have a cult following in high schools and such, but there are still youngsters in school who actually listen to sh*t because they like it. I am still in high school, and know plenty of people who sincerely like the group, as well as others.

Yes, but I think you're forgetting the size of Zeppelin's following back then, if it were to debut today then it would have little effect besides people can't be bothered to listen to an 8 minute song without skipping it anymore, people would ignore it.

Most likely a one hit wonder.
Music is so broad now that it would be lost among all other alternative bands. Because that's what Led Zeppelin would be considered. alternative.

You know what? You do make a good point Saxon, and I suppose it all really depends on timing. Maybe it would explode and become big unexpectedly, or maybe it would fester and nobody would take any notice. Who knows? This Message Edited On 05.16.06

Hey, I'm Valerie. I think that Led Zeppelin IV is the best album Led Zeppelin ever did. Stairway to heaven is by far the most amazing song ever. Black dog and Rock and roll really kick much a s s. All I can say is that people who love LZ really now how to apreciate good music. Oh...and why doesn't anyone like Four sticks? I meen, dude, it's a preety good song man...c'mon.
P.S. You can call me crazy but...I think Jimmy Page is kinda hot.
Greetings Valerie. My name name John. John Paul Harrison, actually. And I like you. Do you know why? Because you like Led Zeppelin. There should be more people like you. Because you like Led Zeppelin.
