yeah some of the beats are lil weak sometimes which honestly is usually a deal breaker for me but it's
all so funny and smart imo
at this point they got a little venomously ironic for me (they've always been 'ironic' but here it
seems to really infect the DNA of their music, which ends in "are we joking or not who cares" vapid
poppish music)--and i'm willing to hear that i'm wrong on that--but a lot of it seems to be "haha,
fuck you guys, here's 'girl'. here's 'celebration'". the beats certainly arent bland but some of them
are too sugary sweet, and not for the right reasons
