Just picked this up, excited to give it a spin. Oh and Dave I really like the summary for this review (and the review proper as well). Nice video review too Beram.

I can definitely see why someone would hate this, but I'm such a sucker for this brand of sugary indie-pop. I'm thinking I'll really like this, damn I should have caught their set at Sasquatch.

Thanks Aids. Hope you like it more than Knott Grumpy.

to be fair i think the world influences are exaggerated in your review. this sounds like fairly straightforward indie pop to be with a bit more zest. having said that it's really fucking good indie pop

yeah I didn't get much world influence either. pretty standard indie-pop in the realm of Vampire Weekend etc.

Maybe Rudy. I used that as the main introductory theme of the review, so I guess it was bound to happen. But I like the way they throw in little things here & there. The Asian one is the dead giveaway & the one imo where they do it just a little more than VW.

Went to JB yesterday, completely forgot to look for it. Maybe I'll get it sometime in the future.

Yeah, I would doubt it would be flying off the shelves in Oz.

Why do I get the feeling that if a band like MGMT had been the ones to release the song "Up Up Up", it'd be huge right now and the album would be selling swimmingly?

Maybe. But really, that happens all the time. Sometimes, lesser known bands just don't get the breaks they deserve.
