^lol, is anyone else starting to really like this kid?

I disagree with the review, but then again I've never seen the boys live.
Can't wait to see how they follow up Idiot, though.
What an album.

I have seen them live, and this highlights all the shitty songs they do. They do some fuckin awesome ones, like She and Jaded live, but they excluded them here in favor of watching Billie touch himself.

This was the 1st live album I ever bought. Even though there are some little tweeks in it, I still like/enjoy it.

This was probably mentioned by someone, but the part where Billie says, "I am Green Day" in the beginning has never set well with me.
Good live album, and I really like the pyrotechnics in "Hitchin' a Ride". Supposedly they are to release their new album this summer. I wish them luck with that...

I hope that will be good.

I don't think he meant it in the fact that "Mike and Tre don't matter, I'M Green Day"; a la Axl Rose's "F*ck Slash, I'M Guns n Roses".
I think he means it more in the fact that the band is his life.

I've never really looked at it that way before...true.
Though I have heard that he can be really arrogant at times, so i guess I assumed this was a display of that. This Message Edited On 12.30.08

I think the arrogance is more in his on-stage persona more than anything.
I mean, away from that, he's a father and a husband. That can bring out the humility in the best of us.
|
| |
Yeah his arrogance is very much an on stage thing. And a bit of fun.
also billie ACTUALLY does a guitar solo on minority, it's nothing special but sounds pretty cool.

as much as i love everything green day has done, i was very decepointed by this concert (i watched it on youtube), they should have put the concert on non-stop with the FULL set list (also the ones not played), the interviews and documentaries on extra feature, and maybe had some music videos, an audio commentary with the band (that would have been just to good to be true). and then I would have brought it but its just meh overall, and some smaller concerts on youtube are just way better.
|
| |
It feels like you're in a REAL concert. Makes me wanna shout and dance my heart out.
|
| |
Dang, why can't they just put a "full" performance on their DVDs?
Oh well, there's another reason why Youtube exists...
|
| |
This is still a top 5 Green Day release despite the negatives. Thank god it came out before their 2nd stretch of bad albums.
