I would've never thought that I'd have to call a Death Cab album mediocre. But it is what this is. My rating would be even lower if it weren't for the two standouts - in my opinion - "You Are a Tourist" and "Underneath the Sycamore". Two well-written and genuinely good that also have that undeniable Death Cab feel. I just don't see them fitting in this album. If they were singles on their own, they'd be on the 4-4.5 spectrum for me, and the album without them would easily be a 2-2.5.

Monday Morning is one of my favorite Death Cab songs. It's so underrated.

Not bad on your first listen... but then you just don't have any desire to hear it EVER AGAIN. A far fall from Narrow Stairs.
