Yeah I meant stock or recorded ones.
With the computerised music I meant- you can add drum bits, can you do the same for other instruments? Like in guitarpro or sibelius.

Yeah all our drums parts are MIDI's written in Garageband. I also think it's the same notes (C for kick, D for good snare E for shit snare, etc., as Guitar Pro.)> I don't think you can import a part you made in a different software but you can rewrite it in the program.

I took a video editing class once and basically spent all my time rushing through the work and then sneaking on to Garageband, mostly because sitting in a quiet room for 4 hours with no music is hell.
I felt so proud when I made my first double bass beat.
|
| |
did you get midi guitars chugging along?
|
| |
No, none of the samples were sufficiently mehtul enough : (
My "songs" ended up being thirty different things that sounded good alone but sucked when put together.
|
| |
oh my god you just brought back the worst memories of when i made beats using the stock garageband loops for my brother to rap like a white person over.
|
| |
lol, my cousins did that recently. It came out terribly hilarious, but surprisingly well produced (it wasn't in Garageband).
I should see if I still have my songs around and upload them to mediafire.
|
| |
I'm not uploading mine they're too embarrassing.
|
| |
Nevermind, the smallest one is 40 MB, ha ha ha. Maybe later.
|
| |
I take it your not talking about MP3's then.
|
| |
Nope, I didn't know what the fuck I was doing when I saved them from the Mac (hate Macs...beside the point), so they're all in .aif
|
| |
Macs rule. That's user error more than anything.
|
| |
Oh, I have no doubt that it was user error. Macs still suck though : )
Oh my God some of these transitions are just terrible. There are a couple pretty awesome flowing piano and acoustic guitar interludes. Wish I still had the software to edit them.
|
| |
You best be talking 'bout your stuff.
|
| |
I've had some fun with Mixcraft (PC equivalent of Garageband). Actually made a couple decent instrumentals.
|
| |
Yep.
Btw, the intro to Intolerance is awesome.
@ties:
I'll have to look into that. I enjoy doing stuff like that, even if I'm not terribly gifted in that area.
|
| |
It's fun. I haven't used Garageband very much (PC FOR LIFE), but I think it's essentially the same. You'd probably have better drumming patterns than the generic "Metal Drums 6" sample I always use.
|
| |
Idk, I'm not a metal drummer (yet).
|
| |
Garageband is what I use, Logic Pro is $400, even for Academic :/
|
| |
Downloading noooooooow
