Well this is true but even so, having a knowledge of a particular genre shouldn't mean that you compare 1 artist to every other artist in the genre, or 1 album in the genre to every other album in the genre.
Like if you were to say "well, this is a good album but Godspeed already did this" (not that I think you would actually say this) still means that this is a good album

Doesnt offend me at all. I see alot of your posts are negative and scathing towards the music and that is because you really don't give the music time to sink in and are always chasing the next big leak for a review. Instead of listening to enjoy music you listen to critique which makes me feel kind of bad for people like you. FYI I listen to this will destroy you, eits, godspeed, mogwai, mono and swans so you saying I havent heard good music makes me lol a bit. Sorry if I came off as a dick.

I know, but it does help to have more context, I think.
Sort of related: I've seen a few people accuse me of saying "EITS aren't changing their style therefore this is worse" which isn't what I said at all... EITS could have made a wonderful album in that vein, it just so happens that this is in the same style, and it's bad.

Like I said last time dude, I've had this for a month. I listened to it many times with an open mind and wanted it to succeed. Please don't jump to assumptions, especially ones I've already clarified for you.

eh this band are just so bland compared to other post-rock bands
they have a sound of their own, granted, but it's such a bland and empty sound to me
it's not the sound quality either because I got a legit FLAC rip (i checked spectrals to be sure)
