This album doesn't really have any fun tracks on it like take pills
but Alsatian Darn is so damn good.
|
| |
Yeah the album has a bit of chill vibe to it although I do find the first track quite uplifting. But trust me this is a bit of a grower.

this album is a joke compared to person pitch... but i never expected it to be as good as person pitch anyway... it's only a disappointing album when i compare it to person pitch

review: starts off rough with drawn out sentences and messy rhetoric like "economically lush" and "utilize" - is this Latin class? However you conclude strong: "Ordinary life is a trip, and Tomboy is the drug." Interesting metaphor!

I'm thinking about bumping this back up to a 5. This is threatening to become one of those rare "emotional-attachment" album affairs.

this is growing on me

I really don't see any space for emotional attachment with this album. That's also my issue with most AC-related work.

this is supposed to be a chill feel good record... for all you twats (looking at you lewis) - there is not supposed to be some fucking epiphany of emotion... granted it does get quite repetitive I dont know how you can discredit tracks like Surfer's hymn, alsatian darn last night at the jetty, and afterburner...
take a second- strip back all your convoluted pretenses of what this album was "supposed to be"and imagine yourself chilling by a pool/beach with a beer, a hot lady, and possibly psychedelic drugs
pretty fucking obvious what he was "going for" if you ask me.. nothing ground breaking but this is a farcry from a 1.. is that a joke? he could have NO beats in the background and just have the vocal melodies and it would be a 2.

Lewis' rating is a joke, calm yourself.
