Am I the only one that hates these vocals? It's really terrible. I hated Death Metal at first but I love it now. But this shit hasn't grown on me at all. Same with Gorgoroth

I realize that lol. I'm saying that is what got me into metal, but I've never understood how these vocals appealed to anyone.

I removed my rating though since I don't like this Genre.

I feel so alone, I'm the only one that likes this album... even the screaming operatic vocals get me all slap happy!

And my neighbors really are happy when I play this

Anyway, Anaal Nathrakh is undoubtedly the best black metal band today. Their composition and mysterious lyrical content that dwells mostly in the field of nihilism have brought them a lot of praise, and yet they are still being true to themselves by keeping it as underground as possible.

Mick's music and Dave's vocals will always and in any given circumstance invoke something! Whether it's a sense of pure amazement or just full on disgust, it will most definitely make you feel and contemplate something.

This album does the same. You either love those wicked array of vocals, sickening background noises and that complex wall of thunderous music... Or you don't. But, if that's the case, let me assure you, you won't feel phlegmatic about it. You will hate it, and whether you like that or not, that's an invoked feeling.

Whatever the case may be, this is still one of the most impressive black metal bands out there. Cheers.

Great album, although the vocals can get quite annoying sometimes. The songwriting here is really tight and focused, even if there isn't that much difference to be found between them.

Music is soulless. In anti-religious music you'd think that'd be a good thing, but it's not.
