Yeah, this isn't something I'd jam much, but it's good for what it is.

Let it sink man and whenever you have time give Live and Dangerous a spin. The guys seriously improve every track live. That's the true measure of a band.

Fair point. Might do that later. I think I'll move on to other stuff and when I get the urge I might return to these guys.

Danny, you should check out Black Rose. It's my favourite Thin Lizzy album, partly because it's the only one to feature Gary Moore AKA the best guitarist ever.

yeh Roisin Dubh -> shivers

Yeah Roisin Dubh is definitely one of their best. Actually, I used to enjoy Black Rose more than this one in the past but Gorham/Robertson sound better to me than Gorham/Moore even though Gary Moore is a legend.

i prefer gorham/robbo as a duo too but moore was obv well beyond those 2 as an individual

I guess it's hard for a guitarist like Moore to play as part of a duo when he's obviously leagues ahead of pretty much anyone who he might play with. His presence still makes Black Rose my favourite though (obviously that wouldn't be the case if the songs didn't live up to those on other Lizzy albums but they definitely do imo).
