I have to say, I don't understand why so many people think this is 5 material. I could understand the high ratings, but the fact that people are acting like it is the best album ever confuses me. Musically and vocally it leaves a lot to be desired, and the production is pretty bad in my opinion. I don't even find it emotionally devastating like so many people claim.

Hey, I'm not saying it makes it any less legitimate of a genre. They just aren't and weren't a part of the underground metal scene. I'm not even a real hardcore metalhead myself, that part just bugs me.
Also, I don't hate this album. Please don't associate me with the trolls and anti-hypers

Thane, my gripe about the production is that it's way too loud and compressed. The waveforms of pretty much every track is a solid block and there is pretty much no dynamic range. It also created a kind of muffled sound and leaves some white noise in the cymbal crashes.
Are his vocals supposed to sound like they're going through a megaphone or is that just due to the volume levels being overly cranked up?
