Well then maybe they just need to learn to accept this unconventional way of interpreting the lyrics, because that is what the band intended and it is well executed in that regard.
Yeah let's all listen to music correctly and agree with what we imagine a band intends.
Someone earlier said that the listener might not want to go through the trouble of looking up the lyrics themselves. Seriously?
Using convenience, or the lack of it, as a criticism is obviously retarded, but that doesn't change the fact that the delivery of the lyrics on this album can be seen as a flaw.

I obviously disagree. Although I can see why you find this to be poor, I mean, a lot of us had
this at a two at one point. I love it because of its passion, aggression, and incredible variety. I
worked hard at liking this, and it really paid off. This is one of my favorite albums, and it means a
shit ton to me.
Well I guess I just don't 'get it'. I don't get why people get so angry over other people's opinions
anyways... I think it's great that you can get into this man, really!
Adjusted my arguments with thanks to Robertsona.

Whoa. Can't believe I missed out on this.
To just add a bit more fluff to the discussion of the pos/neg tendencies; when it comes to rating reviews, I personally include deliberating over the morale-boosting/crushing merits of my pos or neg (in conjunction with other stuff like grammar and diction and argumentation and what not, of course).
I do this because I feel that the voting system still has some merit in indicating whether a review is good or bad and also indicating improvement/rejection to the writer. Is it an absolute must that we all do this? Nope. Is this the best way to pos or neg a review? Not necessarily. Does it foster a sense of community and a desire to improve? Probably, and for that I'll take my chances with using the voting system to the best of my ability.
In short: the pos/neg system can do wonders, as long as you are able to justify why you're doing it.

I once opened a review of mine calling Pink Floyd's The Wall an over-rated + overwrought mess...guess what happened? lol.
