I had not! And hot take this might be my least fav Oxbow since their debut (but is still obvs great). Hmmm
A Winner Every Time is really bringing it home though, cogent title

personally i think King of the jews is their worst and this is their best
A winner every time is also the track that made me fall in love with them
love the middle part of that track

I think this is an underrated Oxbow record. Down a Stair Backward is so good.

@JohnnyoftheWell It definitely has a different vibe compared to the rest of Oxbow's albums, however, it still is a great album, sort of similar to Thin Black Duke, only a bit noisier.

The melodic groove midway thru Frankly Frank is an all-timer, blimey
I knew this already, and yet…

And yes this is one of those ‘probably isn’t a 4’ albums, yet it is because I prefer a couple of their others (need to loosen my criteria cos some bands are just deserving!)
A Winner Every Time is well … a winner every time. Ridiculous 1-2 punch.

Sod it. An Evil Heat is GOATed & Serenade is incredible too but I’ll give this the bump it deserves. Officially a top 10 band of all time (okay… I’ve done no working at all here!)
