Honestly, the four songs that were previously released on the split with Cats and Cats and Cats are absolutely awesome. The other four songs simply pale in comparison (although they're still good) and thats why I can't rate this as high as half of the songs deserve. I'd love to see a re-release of the split on vinyl, so that I can listen to the TTNG side all over.

Animals is so bad compared to this. Vocalists are on two different levels tbh, might bump rating cause this is a jam and a half. first, third, and fifth songs are my fav

This is much better than Animals. Not even debatable. But Animals is much better than the two albums after it.

13.0 is my fav by this band depending on my mood. Disappointment Island is awesome as well

opener is prob their best song

26 is Dancier Than 4 is a terrible way to start the album imo. It's an amazing song but is NOT an opener. Works way better as the closer on Animals

"26 is Dancier Than 4 is a terrible way to start the album imo"
this is sacrilege, easily the best potential opener out of these 8 songs
|
| |
Its just too loud and explosive for an opener imo. Maybe I'm just used to where it is on Animals but for me it doesn't fit

I really want to like this band, and I very rarely dislike vocalists, but man does their singer sound like a whinier chris carrabba lol

I listnd to bits and pieces of all their first 3 albums yesterday, and I dunno, Animals was pretty damn good. I think the vocals improved a fair amount from this one
