I seriously need to listen to the music of this band.
Is this album, a good starter?

It's a perfect starter, actually.

^ Agreed.

It's got that Solefald base-sound, but isn't so weird that it's alienating. A good mix of elements from each of their albums. Cornelius' more traditional blackened vocals on this album are probably a better place to begin than his earlier work, although I'm a fan of his vocals on all the albums.

I could understand why people wouldn't like this kind of thing. It's pretty much an acquired taste or you gotta be in a mood for it.

Wow... its like if Black metal were an Oreo cookie and the cream filling had sprinkles added inside. Sure sprinkles do not belong in it, but heck it makes taste just that much better. I've been easing into Avant-Garde metal as of recent, and this is very good. The absurd elements into it, just give it that extra layer. Though judging from their previous works some songs were simplistic lyrics, but again I believe it was mean to fit in with this theme they had going with the music

This is probably my favorite album from them. It's finally the perfect mixture of eccentricity and black metal.
