Nah, it's metalcore through and through. There are not a lot of clean vocals and it has a very chaotic song structuring to it.



It doesn't really sound like anything else they have done.



..but you could say that about most of their albums.

Yeah that's true. If I were to listen to both albums without knowing the artists name, I would have no idea they were even mildly related.

How is Hydra Head being defunct? They're still around aren't they? I'm confused on what's going on with them. I still see them hosting artists or whatnot so is it them finally repaying debts or what? I could be totally wrong and just seeing them air it out till the final demise finally happens.

They re-press their back catalog (often with leftover material) in order to repay their debt. I don't think there are anymore new releases directly through them, maybe a couple. SIGE Records is related to Hydra though and sometimes SIGE releases go up on Hydra's webstore.



I don't know the full story though but they are more or less defunct.
