Plus, MJ's proven that he can write reviews in many different styles.

Who else would find deriding Illuvatar so enjoyable.

no way! MichaelJordan is an evil, Satan-worshiping troublemaker who has an agenda against CTtS and the Sputnik Staff. he only went after this album because it was Sputnik's favorite.

don't take my word for it. here's what the immortal Adam Downer wrote about it just one year ago:

this is pretty much the ultimate sputnik album. I think john hanson said it somewhere it has the same number of comments and ratings as bands like muse and green day yet is 1% as popular.

It's because the people who like it pay more attention to what they listen to silly.

that is exactly it Mellany Valentine! those philistines who hate CTtS listen to shallow crap like Stravinsky and Sibelius. none of that has half the complexity and layering of this album

lol this is gone down to a 4.2 now....im sure some people do dislike this album but i bet at least some people have gone with the new trend of hating this album since MJ's review.

"Yeah I'm thinking of writing a ballwashing 5 star review for it completely bristling with faux

praise. Will take some time however"

from MJ's shoutbox. gg Hans, take some credit

its funny because the big proponents of this being bad are way bigger douches about people liking it than anyone has ever been about people simply disliking it =(

The second comment on my review was redsky having a conniption and calling for a purge of the site.

Don’t listen to critics; they either just haven’t been initiated yet or they’re simply not open-minded enough to understand As the Roots Undo’s emotional profundity. This is the ultimate “grower” album, people. Even though it sounds like intolerable shit at first, after repeated relistening and constant reassurances from the Sputnik fanbase that you’ll eventually rate it a 5, the cumulative brain damage you suffer will allow you to hear the album’s true beauty.

if you read back through the first 80 pgs. of Iluvatar's review thread, you will see all this in action!

^ Porch, while I did put that in MJ's shoutbox and was planning on writing a sarcastic 5 star review for this, this is definitely not me. I was pissed at first when I saw someone had the same idea as me, but I have to say this is a damn good review.

My scathing satire of sputnik in the form of a 3.5 star review of this is yet to be posted. Don't worry everyone!

This review would be way more hilarous if the sarcasm was at all subtle.
