I think it is mostly people switching their ratings to 1s but I wouldn't put it past some users to make alts just to add to the 1s.

not saying it's objectively anything but when an album with a solid 4.4 and 1000 votes suddenly gets 25 1s it's probably something fishy
edit: and yeah, some 2s that were meant to be 1s have probably been switched but looking at the ratings chart there's a huge influx of 1s in the past couple days

I think it's just people who hadn't rated it before decided to jump on the "this is so shitty it deserves no more than a 1.5" bandwagon since MJ started raising hell over this album. But there's probably just as many people who have jumped on the "this is the greatest thing ever because sputnik said so" bandwagon.
