Superbly well written review. You defended your points very well, however, it seems a little insulting at points. It's entirely possible to like something just because it sounds good to you. I certainly don't listen to this to appear hip or go against the grain.

I absolutely understand why you'd dislike it, and I have to admit that the vocals can be very grating at times. I actually had intended to drop my rating a little when re-listening to this recently. However, I agree with Lewis- she's charming and her childish vocal prowess fits contextually, although I won't even attempt to contest your points on her lyricism, which leaves a lot to be desired on this particular record.

i watched madlock in a bar last night the sound wasn't on but i think i got the jiist of it

but yeah, that's the one i meant. i mean i understand how you could use it critically of course, but it just seems a little forced as i find with a lot of your references.

there are just as many kids who listen to classical music for coming off as hip as there are kids who listen to obscure indie music to come off as hip.

no enotron it just happens that mj dislikes like two or three of artists that i like so i care when he does something silly like try and get people to rate a ctts album a 1 numerous times or does the same himself

also happens we share a love for some music too holy crap

since when did he call for people to make alts to 1 CTTS? he fixed his ratings on his alt as well. And plus there are a lot more alt 5 ratings for CTTS than there are 1's.

i thought i remember him saying that to some people but i'm probably mistaken if you say so plus he fixed his ratings because i asked him to (i think anyway) and somehow i doubt your last point

most people on sputnik like CTTS, many on sputnik have alts. Remember there are only 23 1's for CTTS and 374 5's for it? Honestly which do you think has more alt ratings?

most people who have alts usually only rate albums they didn't rate on their other account. the ones i know about anyway. i've seen lots of talk about people making alts and 1ing ctts recently among this dumbass "the mother fuckers" clique. plus as the roots undo is a popular album on this site, i'm not surprised if there are 374 unique 5s for it.

"unique 5's" haha you don't know how many people five'd it due to the hype and most alts have ratings they have on other accounts, especially with obvious albums.
