Most of the songs on this sound the same IMO. Dance, Dance is about the only song worth even thinking about on this album. Sugar, We're Going Down is fairly catchy too, though.

Dance Dance is OK, good song but i dunno all the hype about it. I've deleted the album twice from my computer, it's boring and they sound the same. I know so many people, especially girls, who adore this band and album, and the more i hear it, the more i can't stand them or the cd.

First of all, good review, good job

Now, i've watched this site for a while, and never wanted to join until i saw the overwhelming abundance of stupidity in this thread! You people talking about how you hate everything emo need to shut up. There is no clear classification of what emo is.. and that is fine because you should base your opinion of a group by their music, not their genre. Let's face it, The Ramones, The Clash, The Sex Pistols all had some of the same major flaws you are point out in Fallout Boy. Repeatative lyrics, simple chord structure, easily tiring. One big difference... most old "punkers" couldnt sing! Saying Fallout Boy sucks live is hipocritical as these guys were no good any time. I love their music, but it wouldn't be that hard to duplicate or improve vastly upon. These groups changed how music is today and that is why Rolling Stone acknowledges them (though they wont admit it). Soooo. Stop Posting Like A Freakin Retard! Give me some back to your arguement or it will go in one ear and out the other (figuratively speaking). *sigh*

;) I bought this for my mom on Christmas. I finally listened to it yesterday during a shopping spree and I must say it is better than I thought.

I'm fairly sure that Our Lawers Made Us Change the Name of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued and A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Touch Me" will be the third and fourth singles. Overall, this is more or less a 3.5 out of 5 and now I can finally say that your review Vague is pretty much dead on.

I think that when judging the "old" punk bands you gotta look at WHEN they came 'round. Back in the late 70's, progressive rock was getting a little too progressive (just my opinion, I know a lot of people like stuff like that). What the Ramones, Sex Pistols, and The Clash did was bring the music back down to earth. The simplest ideas usually hit the hardest. I'll admit I don't like the "new" punk bands, just because that element of danger's slipping away. If you look at footage of the Sex Pistols, they look like they're ready to kill someone! One of 'em really was I guess...Oh, back to FOB. I like "Dance, Dance" a little, but I'm not really into pop-punk. Has anyone gotten the anagram of From Under the Cork Tree? By the way, great review. I'll catch my breath here now.....

Nekronaut, shut up. Don't be coming on this site flaming a person because you will get banned. He likes this album, good for him. You don't like it, good for you. Don't curse someone out because they like a band because that's retarded.

I agree with Matrix. Anyway, his opinion was not stated very intelligently, calling everyone "emo" and just being an idiot. And calling Nick a dumbass and giving all these lame reasons and whatever, and Nick is not a dumbass. Has anyone reported this guy yet?
