I'm not enjoying this as much as I thought I would.
Just seems like generic Aussie alt rock on the fist few listens through
|

De-Loused does not equal this
this is pretty good

This is pretty fantastic so far. I agree with some of the comments that there is a similarity to other Aussie alt/prog bands, but it's still able to stand on its own. Hell, if this is the Aussie rock we're getting, I'll take this over pretty much all of our modern American rock.

I wouldnt take this over Thrice.

Good review, and the songs on myspace sound interesting. I'll pick it up, I'm looking for something new soon.

This album is hit and miss.

Absolutely awesome. If this doesn't gain international recognition in a big way I'd be shocked.. like sound awake was for karnivool overseas.. I think this is a warning has the same potential

I like this, I just don't know if it has staying power. I'll find out within a months time and rate it.

so many new users in this thread
methinks people are googling a review of the album and sputnik seems to be the only one who's got it covered.

lol Jim, I barely have enough time for one account anymore let alone the amount that have popped up in this thread.
Also, seems as though ppls aren't happy with the comparisons i made so, allow me to explain them:
The Mars Volta: Pretty loose comparison. Similar voices, frenetic pace in some songs etc.
U2: Big Choruses, shitloads of delay.
Karnivool/TBE: Aussie prog thing blah blah. Pretty self explanetory
Temper Trap: Vocals/Atmospheric parts
Closure In Moscow: Again, pretty self explanetory. Fast paced most of the time, similar vocals etc.
Hope that clears it all up.
Also, still no one wanting to own up to the neg? Thats a shame.
Decided my favourite songs are Cage, The Drum and This Long Hour.
