Doesn't stick to me like the previous two albums, but I still love it. These guys know their gear, and know how to use it. I'm glad they finally ditched the same chord progressions they'd been using almost continuously in the first two albums, although I feel oddly detached without it... oh, dynamics...

Seriously though, I'm tired of hearing about The Cool. I like Miles Davis too, brah.

If that isn't Bruce Springsteen singing on the verses of 'Old Haunts' then I'll eat my hat.

At the moment, after about 4 or so listens.. this album is my favourite, it's captured the raw power of 'Sink or Swim' and the soul of '59 Sound'. There's a little bit of Springsteen's 'The River' in it too I think.

I've never listened to the band before and went out and got this album after seeing it praised a few different places. Got to say I like it, we'll see if its got the staying power for repeated listens. These guys love them some Springsteen, huh? But then again, so does the Arcade Fire, and I love them. Good stuff, a good band.

I would definately put these guys back under Alt/Indie. I wouldn't consider them punk.

^ If you had never heard this band and have only heard this album, definitely check out The '59 Sound and Sink Or Swim. Both wipe the floor with this one.

This is pretty good, but nothing on their first two, as others have said.

I've always liked Sink or Swim the most, so maybe this just isn't "punky" enough for me...

It has some great moments, but I find a lot of it a bit unmemorable.

Just finished listening to on NPR, and have high hopes of it being a grower. It's not a technical masterpiece by any means, but it sure is a hell a lot of fun.

This is my first TGA album, so I'm pumped for even better.
