the premiere video pairs really well with it, a personal photo album that goes along with the lyrics. great song overall

Since mount eerie has devolved from such an experimental project to being an outlet for sad campfire songs (but not good ones like earlier mount eerie), I'm hoping he resurrected Microphones to do something different/more fun so I'm hopeful in that regard. What would be the point in bringing that project back together otherwise

I speculated with sowing that he might feel like Crow hangs over Mt Eerie too heavy. I wouldnt blame him. but who knows obviously

Yeah I can't imagine he brought Microphones back just in order to do more Mount Eerie stuff.

I'm hoping it'll be similar to Toby Driver's resurrection of motW for an album that sounded like motW and nothing like Kayo Dot

it's a repetitive 44 minute campfire song (yes a single song) so i'd like to see a live potsy reaction to it

crow feels wrong to listen to. it’s too intimate for me. also don’t find the songs themselves to be that appealing melodically except for Ravens

^i was literally just writing a comment exactly like that but couldn't word it right. agreed 100%. i listened to it once and have had no desire to go back to it.

i miss stuff like Wind's Poem, where he was actually stretching his usual sonic aspects.

Yes I like dawn (but not the new one)

As for crow I'm over pretending the fact that it's really sad makes it immune to criticism or rating

Album sucks and it's okay to say it

I honestly like all of his acoustic stuff from earlier in this project, including the comps etc.

It's just everything from crow onward that has been trite as shit (instrumentally)

@ryus masochistic! just kidding you meant "never". Crow is a good album though, "swims" is my favorite

I want the new album to be the melody from the last 3 minutes of I Want Wind to Blow repeated for 45 minutes

yo the last part of "the glow pt. 2" is like

it makes me want to make a dumb drug metaphor. the purest hit of "indie rock". what it was all about in the first place. yknow?
