Albums is really hard to listen. I agree that the mixing job is awful.
The songwriting however is excellent. The sound engineer should be fired.

It doesn't matter. The mixing is horrendous, get over it. Focus on the music, because the music is brilliant. It sounds like they have actually found their niche, and i hope it stays that way. Lambesis sounds great, mixing more highs and lows with his monotonous growl. the drumming is tight, the strings sound great. the only problem i have with the album is the same recurring problem i have with all their albums- the cleans are fucking horrible.

This pseudo-metal is what all bands that were metalcore suddenly woke up and saw that metalcore isn't cool any more and is being made fun of and jumped onto the "omg we are real metal bandwagon" Yeah. Real metal, you like real metal, but you can't create it. Just like those double sellouts Trivium sayign "f*ck metalcore, we are for real" and then going back to the screaming and breakdowns.
As for AILD, all songs on this album have as poor structuring as the previous one AOBU. Same lower level metal. Now everyone will get pissed and say SylentEcho doesn't know what he;s talking about and after 2 years start hating AILD coz they would have checked out better bands by then like Hypocrisy, Zonaria, Autopsy, Kreator etc etc..
