Previewed it after reading this, bought it right afterward. I'll see how much I end up liking this one, but it sounds promising.

I was completely unaware of said hype, but this album is the hotness. The progressions and the way
they are played off the vocals are unexpected but somehow still familiar (in a good way). Also, the
production is very good which makes me happy. There's nothing I hate more then well executed music
with badly executed production.
Letter Experiment is sick. Kinda like Cynic if they grew balls out of their sloppy vag.

although my "5" isn't going to help....your description is correct- what this band does well is make all those elements meld (meshuggah type riffage and melody melded into one package). It's a really nice balance that they def. can improve on but they already have broke a little ground with.

Describing these guys as a cookie-cutter Sumerian band seems a little silly to me. That would be shit like After the Burial, Born of Osiris, and whatever other nonsense is coming out of Chicago these days.
