Hooray for everyone coming to the defense of Slipknot. I completely forgot about Joey Jordison in mention of talented musicians. He really impresses on the RoadRunner United record. (waits silently while crying on the inside for ShadowsFallen's review)

Joey Rulez

And to everyone who says they know better drummers. (like in the IOWA review i think) okay, he is not the best but still one of the top drummers.

Joey? Ok, wow that is one good musician in the band, but I have seen better. Next calling a band gay is unacceptable at this site? For one if it was gay would be starred out, second done bother me with your worthless threats, even if I was booted out of this site with is not likely then it's not the end of the world. There are plunty of other sites. I could care less they you know mods, oh darn i'm kicked out of a site i'm going to go emo about it. And yes i'm pretty sure they were a christian band , I may be wrong.

He's not the best, and he's not in the top margin either. Joey has nothing but speed.

Drumming can be done in two types:

speed

technic

Joey is one of the fastest doublebase and also his riffs are at top speed, He has some technic but doesn't show it in slipknot because it is not a technic band, but a speed band

Uh, what? The last time I checked, there was a lot more to drumming than just those.

The mask thing for all bands is a cheap gimmick.

Yes, while I sometimes like the show, almost any band you see on Viva La Bam is horrible. Gwar, Bloodhound Gang, HIM. (except for of course Slayer and then maybe CKY)This Message Edited On 10.20.05

Not for The Sound of Animals fighting.

Plus, their masks are kickass!! Who wouldn't want to play drums while dressed up as a giant frog?!?!

I never thought he was a talented musician until I bought the RoadRunner United album and that is when I realized he is a talented songwriter. I did some investivigation work (lol I asked a friend) and they weren't a Christian band.

Again, I said I might be wrong. Plus I don't think your friend is a investigation. I herd they were a christian band in a interview I read a while back.

I think that's not true, a few members (like Joey) are christian but i don't think their band is christian

and druming can be in two types:

speed

technic

that can be very much

riffs

double base

normal speed

all speed^^

paradidle (ant the other funny things like 2 by 2 or 4 by 4)

change of toms

all hits are at the same volume

all technic ^^

I'm sorry, but the idea of nine guys running around in evil masks playing kum-ba-yah shit on acoustic guitars is pathetic. I am a fan of ST and Iowa, but this CD is one of the biggest sellouts to date. I was thoroughly disappointed when I picked up this CD. The guitar tones are bad and Corey sounds like shit on this record. A lot of the problems come down to production. Raw production on ST worked because the songs were raw. But overall this CD is not near as good as the last two. However, I do comend the guitar performance on this record with regard to leads.

So you're saying that stepping down to worse production is selling out? You don't know what selling out is, so shut the hell up. The music was more complex and everyone went out of the ordinary with their instruments. This album is the polar opposite of selling out.

^That show is such a joke. I saw half of the show once and this black guy got kicked off and he made it into a racial issue about how there aren't enough black people in rock history(true tho).

In Canada, the news radio stations always make a huge deal about a Canadian winning. I agree with them.

IN YOUR FACE AMERICA! Yeah! We have better crappy singers than you! :p
