I like Howard's vocals a lot more on this record than on the new one for some reason. The screams & growls are somehow throatier and make em sound more "br00tal" which is a good thing. They just don't sound as pissed off on the new record for some reason. Only thing that improved is his singing. Does anybody agree?This Message Edited On 03.16.08

I would have to say "As Daylight Dies" isn't as good as "The End of Heartache". "The End of Heartache" kicks ass. Rose of Sharyn would Have to be my favorite song.This Message Edited On 04.17.08

I don't understand how anyone can dislike this album. I think it's incredible. People who voted a rating under 3 have obviously not taken the time to listen and analyze this album. This is definitely not an 'Average' album. The song structures are great. The vocals are godlike. The hooks are incredible. Adam D. is easily one of the best metal songwriters around. People should really take a listen to this modern metal classic.

KsE are actually okay for a metalcore band, not amazing, but good, i bought this album on recommendation and was initially impressed, but over time some of teh songs got boring, rose of sharyn, the end of heartache and take this oath are really good though

You should listen to 'A Bid Farewell', 'When Darkness Falls', 'World Ablaze' and 'Breathe Life', those tracks are awesome. They showcase Howard at his best with this band.This Message Edited On 07.11.08

I just bought this yesterday because I was curious about the band. I'm not really sure what to think of them right now. The first few tracks and the title track are awesome. What bugs me about it are the unnecessary screaming bits. For now I'll just give it a 3.

guitar solos piss me off, im glad not many bands do them much anymore, everything that can be done in one has been done. I think the time for tight complex drum and bass interludes is NOW

Adam D. is quite possibly the funniest man in metal. I can't think of anyone else besides Rody Walker in PTH.
