I have to comment on the first paragraph...

On the Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (his first album of mainly original material) he went from songs like Masters of War to Don't Think Twice It's Alright, if that's not wide-ranging I don't know what is.
But anyways, you have motivated me to check this guy out, I'm listening to songs on his myspace right now and I'm digging it...I'm sure once I listen a little more I'll fall in love.
