It's guitar run through distortion. Without that distortion and added effects, it would sound pretty, well... unballsy, wouldn't it?

Who said only guitars can go through that kind of fx chain?

Well.....doom without guitars is like pancakes without syrup. Or peanut butter without the bread. Regardless, i'm already hooked. And a possibilty for new Stray would be epic, im a sucker for the melodic vocal hooks and haunting piano runs.

I pray to Oden for a Florida date.

REALLY? Like Stray?? Huh. Check out the track "Visceral, Venom of My Being". It's decidedly NOT Stray-like... at all.

Erica, I loved that song and it really showed how Moving On still had that familiar feeling of your older material but I still think the majority of the album leaned more towards Abuse By Proxy, especially with the glassy sound of the vocals.

To each their own. I don't remember throwing any brutal vocals into Stray, but maybe our ears work on different frequencies.

SERIOUSLY no pun intended, but I've pretty much totally moved away from rhythmic noise, it's pretty boring to me now on its own.

It's all good, I'm not a fan of noise either. Good luck on your new projects!

My personal favorite is Numb to Forget. And I also love Obligatory Club Hit To Appease the Masses... what can I say; I'm a material girl in a material world.

Yeah that song rules too. I could imagine a packed club going apeshit to that song.

I've become a huge fan of Godless. I can listen to that song every day.

and every remix of Godless is just as good... I really hope to see this album in the "Best of 2010" feature at the end of the year.

It will be in mine, but I don't know if I'll be able to slip it by all of the indie bands in the staff feature ;)

yeah, and bands like Animal Collective and Portugal. the Man aren't exactly helping the cause by releasing eleven albums every year. Still, I'm counting on you and Iai.

Without taking away from the obvious artistic merits of this album and Erica's talents, but this is a really good album to have sex to
