Not a Burzum clone/10

Listening to this again made most of their albums seem redundant.

This is cool, VERY repetitive, even more so than Autumn Aurora, and perhaps a bit simplistic, but it does a very good job of encouraging a trancelike state. I listened to it on a run yesterday and it was actually the perfect soundtrack for that (the first track especially kind of sounds like being chased through a forest).

man this was great. i love the repetitiveness that gradually and slowly grows. adding new elements every few minutes and just expanding the song in ways that never get boring. reminded me a lot of hvis in that respect. very hypnotic in the riffing. i see the agalloch comparisons but the galloping riffs/ tremz and distortion reminded me of ash borer, prob other cascadian bands i haven't heard this is closer to tho. vocals are great as well, perfect rawness. false dawn was easily my fav but the other two are really nice as well. fuck i'm gonna have to do drudkh's discog now i guess lol

yeah, this is a special one! I spent a few weeks with their discog after the newest one came out, definitely some lulls in the discog...but generally, you're in for a treat : )

sweet cotton! always fun to do a discog binge. some of the most fun is going through a discog especially if it's kind of uneven or styles change over the years. very rewarding.

and yeah didn't want to jump into a legendary band's new album so figured i'd just start at the beginning! def my kinda atmo bm.
