His Top 5 for me would be something like

1. Holy Wood

2. Antichrist Superstar

3. Mechanical Animals

4. Golden Age of Grotesque

5. The Pale Emperor

I would only replace The Pale Emperor with Portrait Of An American Family. You even have them in the right order.

Portrait Of An American Family really isn't that great.

@TVC

I'd just switch 4 and 5.

I like portrait more than this record, but they're both good. Dope Hat, Get your gun, cake & sodomy, misery machine, and lunchbox all great songs.

This is the New Shit and Mobscene are some of the first songs I ever downloaded. I remember I was using Kazaa Lite lol

I also remember the only version I could find was the clean version called This is the New Hit lol

It's funny you mention that. I downloaded this one way back than and it was the labeled "This Is A New Shit". Golden Age Of Grotesque is the last Manson record that truly excites me. Brian was running out of things to say, but he was celebrating his stardom and made a damn fun record to listen to. May have to bump this; It's been awhile.

The production on this is so slick, Manson wasn't a bad producer at all although the production job on Eat Me, Drink Me almost makes me want to eat (no pun intended) my words

I used to Limewire the fuck out of some of these tracks back in the day. I also had the censored version of This is the New Shit, but it wasn't labelled as such, so I just thought that was how he pronounced "shit" in the song and I thought it sounded cool as hell

Honestly, even now I think the edit from Shit to Hit is pretty damn clever. Like it would still work well if it was the official version of the song

Oh yeah, it totally works, to be honest I don't even notice the difference until they bleeped the rest. They didn't bleep "bitch" but they bleeped shit? lol. Unless they have a full edited version I haven't heard.

Frankly I think it's better with it being changed to "hit" lol. Even the glitched out "motherfucker" sounds cool
