It is deserving. I definitely veer more towards earlier Enslaved of late. Having said that it's been a minute. This was their standout last time around.

Revisiting this now. Some thoughts:
- I like the production here, goood
- Drumming is really gooooood
- The vibe is great here
- It's a bit samey overall maybe?

- arguably the #1 selling point, the production is otherworldly
- indeed
- yeah, this has a thicc and rather unique bent to their atmospherics. Does vibe.
- I like the balance between the repetitive riffs of their viking stuff (which can still be felt here) and the more progressive leanings of their later material. Some of the stretches do feel a little more drawn out, at least in comparison to their more varied prog era(s), but I dig it. Hypnotic.
