But they are nothing alike. Temperature wise which is the point I was making.

To make this more clear. In summer, It has been hotter.

Yes we are all quite aware of that.

I'm talking about the temperature in summer. As in, the Temperature.

The temperature in darwin (in summer) is always around the mid-thirties. In Adelaide it goes up to 45

To me, that means that Darwin is nowhere nearly as hot as Adelaide.

Let me get this clear. You think that Adelaide and Darwin are similar temperature wise?

Philly, if you're like 2 years old I get your point. Since you wouldn't know about 2 years ago summer in Adelaide/Melbourne was about 30-35 on average. There was basically none of this 40+ weather ongoing in summer.

This is how Cairns and Darwin were in terms of temperature about 2 years ago. Queensland in general has been far cooler the last two years. Whether it's that el nino effect going on or what, I don't know. But this is the case.

EDIT: Overall point. Adelaide and Melbourne is fucking hotter than usual.

temperature always varies in places like Adelaide and Melbourne. Two years ago I remember Ade laide having a massive heatwave for a week but the rest of the summer was just the high 30s.

I just can't get over how Adelaide is basically the new Darwin in terms of heat.

One moment you say that then the next saying that Adelaide and Melbourne has been hotter. Correct me if I'm wrong but that sounds like we just skipped a point or something.

Is it wrong to include Melbourne as well? Honestly, I don't see how you can be arguing that Adelaide and Melbourne haven't been hotter the last two years. I thought I cleared up these discrepancies.

Let's get back on topic like I was trying to do. If you don't understand what I was saying with my clear statement of "Overall point. Adelaide and Melbourne is fucking hotter than usual." then I can't help you.

By looking at this map, yes, Adelaide has become hotter than Darwin over the last 40 years. However, it is a .05 degree of variance between them and I highly doubt it would take into account humidity and the general differences that both cities encounter. Thus yes, you are apparently correct but I highly doubt that it is a huge difference. So, I still stand by my statement.

Of course not, Melbourne and Adelaide are very alike.

Let's get back on topic like I was trying to do. If you don't understand what I was saying with my clear statement of "Overall point. Adelaide and Melbourne is fucking hotter than usual." then I can't help you.

This is where you missed my point. You said that:

Darwin and Adelaide (and Melbourne if you like) are similar temperature wise

I disagreed stating that Darwin is nowhere near as hot as Adelaide.

Then you conversation-hopped saying that:

Adelaide and Melbourne have been hotter

Yes i know that, but is that relavant to Darwin and Adelaide being the same temperature

See I just used my general observance of the weather over the last two years and the fact that my friends in Adelaide and Melbourne were like "HOLY FUCK I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S SO HOT, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON".

My bad. I will make sure I research this completely when making a simple statement which turned out to be true.

I agree that it has become hotter, that is correct. What I'm getting at is that you said that darwin and adelaide are similar heat-wise. They aren't.

Have you read what I said? Darwin has always been super hot and Adelaide over the last two years has got to raging temperatures, like even the news speaks about it. You clearly haven't been to Darwin if you don't know what I'm talking about. I'm sorry I won't make such out there accusations cause the Adelaide people will get upset when I talk about their weather.

I'm not commenting on the the weather again so lets just let it rest as it's a really stupid argument that is going nowhere.

Ah finally some material.

Darwin has never ever been super hot. Look at the dew points in the Summer, the place goes up to 30 degrees and Adelaide also in summer is usually around 10 , sometimes even minus 0. That is a staggering difference
