^ I kind of agree, this is just on par with the Photo Album.

I hope not.
I remember listening to this after months of nothing but Transatlanticism and thinking "this kind of sucks".

I got into both records around the same time. The whole record's just a cohesive unit, works especially well with the Directions DVD.

^ I actually heard this album first, and then heard Transatlanticism like 5 months later, so I was continuously impressed. However, their new album wasn't that great IMO.

This was good enough to get me into the band, then I got Transatlanticism and it blew me away, and sometime long after that I listened to this again. It felt a bit like a retread but not nearly as good.

Like I said, this is close to being bumped to a 5... Maybe it has something to do with the significance in which time of my life i was listening to it. Let's all talk about how good bros on a hotel bed is

man u didn't even mention "i'll follow you into the dark"!!! that is w/o question their best song

I've only listened to this once, but I'm expecting my rating to either go up or down half a point, if it changes at all.

I got Transatlanticism when it came out, it's definitely my favorite by these guys, and i can't stand their newer album.

Senor~Whippy, I'd like to remind you that Damrod and I are cracking down on superfluous comments after things got ridiculous in the last couple of weeks. That means that you stay on topic and you follow the guidelines, i.e "relevant discussion of the music/review." I'm not asking for a Pulitzer Prize winning essay, but stuff like what you posted isn't needed. Thanks.
hmm if only med were around today

lol wrong. so so wrong. song is brilliant but such an obvious favourite death cab song, and not even their best.

Quote: Death Cab For Cuties sounds Emo Bye Bye!! (Sound of car driving away)
SO stupid yet I find myself rofl

I like about 50% of this album intensely and the rest doesn't do much for me. Just like about every death cab album i've listened to

Been listening to this the past couple days, and I haven't listened to anything else. This album gets to me, makes me emotional, and I can't really say that about many albums.
Needless to say, it's going up, from 3.5 to a shiny 5.

One of the songs that stands out the most for me is Your Heart Is An Empty Room.

I have Transatlanticism on my iPod, I've just never found the time to listen to it.

Transatlanticism is my favorite album ever. I think Death Cab's early work is criminally underrated on sputnik. Facts and Something About Airplanes are so good.

Your Heart..., Crooked Teeth, What Sarah Said.
And if you have this as a 5... and haven't heard Transatlanticism... eek.
