Purple Heavy Rocks is actually my second fav so far
of the ones i've heard:

Akuma No Uta > Heavy Rocks (2011) > Pink > Rainbow > Heavy Rocks (2002) > Smile

only about 35 left to go or whatever the fuck! for real tho it's been thoroughly enjoyable, i've known about this band for at least a decade & never really delved in 'til now

Swag.

I did the same thing last year it was amazing. My favorite has changed over time but feedbacker & dronevil are my favorites if youre into the long-form stuff. Seen them live twice too

i like the majority of what i've heard from them but tbh i'm not really interested at all in the "pure drone" side of things. like sure i'm sure that stuff is amazing to listen to when you're high or whatever but, my favorite stuff from them is shit like "Ibitsu" and "Pink" but also "Leak" and "Naki Kyoko"

by this point i've heard Flood as well & it's more of a slow-burner than any of the other ones i've heard by them, considerably, but it kicks ass. still not entirely sure where i'd rank it in the thing i posted above

hmmmm I think I just slsk'd this at the time lol so can't be much help - jam Pink instead, it's a similar fix with faster bangers and higher highs ;]

nothing beats this, a perfect blend of punk, garage rock, metal, doom, sludge, some stoner

this album is perfection

i don't disagree, it's just so happens that i have a soft spot in my heart for jams, and the songs here share a kinda "loose" feel that you can hear quite often in jam rock music
