I feel like it drags on at the end. Some of the earlier tracks are awesome.

i always liked Homme's voice and guitar skills, but i'd definitely prefer some older QOTSA to this.

oh dude definitely, that and all of Kyuss too. Homme is amazingly awesome tho.

this album was honestly a little long. tbh, i only kept a couple of the first tracks and that's it.

Kyuss rocks.

I still think this a brilliant album. much more solid than lullabies and era vulgaris.

I don't believe anyone thinks this is a bad album, but it IS predictable, gets old pretty quick and doesn't have anything going for it that makes you want to listen to it on a regular basis.

I can see how people can say it can become a drag. I just don't think something needs to be ever-changing to be good.

Sorry Croc, I can't get into this album at all. Like Baphomet said, there's nothing that makes me want to come back to it. It's like really solid background music.

Me too, but zizzer makes a valid point. My awareness of my music snobbery and music whoring deters me

from bringing this down from a 4

This is a solid album from solid musicians

"yeah they keep going and going with a riff. i mean the end of the first track could have been like a minute shorter"

They could have kept going with that riff for 10 more minutes and I would've been happy for it was fucking delicious!

Yeah that bit where it just explodes could go on and on for ever and it wouldn't be enough. Might see these guys.

I love every musician involved in this project, but it didn't really wow me at all. I am going to give it a couple more tries, but I don't see all the hype over this.

A few songs on here have admittedly grown on me, but not to the extent that the album as a whole demands me coming back. It starts strongly & consistently, but (partially due to its length) I tend to lose interest during most of the 2nd half (Caligulove being an exception). It's all extremely competent obviously, but it's more music I prefer to have on in the background when I'm doing something else. I'm unsure I'm the hugest fan of Homme's voice either.

If you mean Melbourne, then yeah I think it only has a couple of seats left.
