No, I was saying Strizz's comment about ire works is just as valid for this album. And what I had meant previously was your BTBAM using jazz comment seemed as if it was aimed at my review when I said that lots of bands have used jazz + metal combinations. Point is this album sucks.
Not really. Ire Works was an attempt to further the mainstream appeal that Miss Machine had and ended up being a half-assed attempt at it with weak experimental tracks littered throughout. BTBAM have always been a metal/metalcore band with a big progressive influence and all they did was step up the prog and put the metalcore on the backburner, which if anything made them even less palatable to the average listener. While this may be BTBAM's most cohesive record yet, it's hardly catchy in the traditional sense. Ire Works as a total is way, way less of a great record than any of their earlier catalogue and far more of a rehash of old ideas, whereas The Great Misdirect brings a relatively new sound to the band. So in all I don't know where your wacked comparisons are coming from.

Also this is just a point I needed to make, I said BTBAM should be more like DEP and try to expand beyond the current niche they're in. Not once did I say, BTBAM should make an album like Ire Works in fact I never even mentioned Ire Works. DEP made Calculating Infinity then pulled a 180 and made Miss Machine. Miss Machine was a true advancement of their sound. BTBAM have essentialy written the same album they did last time and just cut out the retarded parts. But it still isn't anything new.
What retarded parts exactly considering Colors was better than this and one of the better metal albums of the last few years IMO. BTBAM have dabbled in plenty of different styles, for fuck's sake that's the entire crux of their sound! DEP went out on a limb musically and came out worse for it, at least after Miss Machine, so your comparison is, again, wack. And the album is clearly not a 2, and doesn't warrant the rating just because you clearly wanted to write a "controversial" review. Say hi to the new redsparrow

You gave Constellations a 2 when it was a 3 at worst.
You gave Backstreet Boys a 4.5 when it was a 3.5 at best.
Now your knocking BTBAM?
Maybe you should put some thought into what genres you review because you clearly arent appreciating talented musicians in the metalcore/prog genre.

Ok first thing stop saying wack, you aren't the token black guy in a late 90's teen drama. Secondly read the fucking review, you keep asking questions which are answered in the review. I've actually explained what parts of Colors were retarded and how they've removed them. But it doesn't matter because you're a fucking dumb shit. You are a BTBAM fan, you like this album and so you've already dismissed any alternate opinion by hiding behind the traditional fanboy stance that I wrote this solely for attention. Go home douche-nozzle. Just because I don't like something that you do like doesn't mean I wrote this for attention like I said I couldn't care less if you disagree but trying to write off my opinion as attention seeking is pathetic.
LOL someone's got their panties in a bunch. It's a FUCKING CD, go smoke a bowl and calm down slick. I could care less, I'm just asking you to back up your opinion. I would hardly call myself a BTBAM fanboy, they're probably in my top 50 bands if that. I just think your review and the way you present your argument is clearly in a baiting, disrespectful tone and you tossing off little insults and getting all butthurt when someone disagrees with you is the icing on the cake. You have a CONTROVERSIAL OPINION - check the overall rating of the record, you're in the fucking minority asswipe. People are going to disagree with your fucking opinion and you put that on the chopping block when you wrote the review. I'm quite open to anyone's opinion when they're not shoving it down my throat and claiming everyone else is retarded for not agreeing with you. The other 2-score review was worded, explained and argued extremely well (something you might want to look at for inspiration) and I stated as such, not to mention I said - read closely - I CAN SEE WHY PEOPLE MIGHT DISLIKE THIS. Still doesn't justify the rating you gave it and your arguments are still pretty flimsy.
