Break actually has a little one too ;)

i was going to mention that one, but it seemed barely a solo. no shredding!
|
| |
hmm, I wonder who negged this time.
I guess this becomes increasingly common when you right negative reviews about popular bands, eh?
|
| |
yeah, you're in a minefield when your opinion for popular bands are different than the norms. fuck it though.
|
| |
I read one of Altmer's reviews a while back that's like this. He does these types of things a lot.
|
| |
he's fearless then, but what i'm saying is never let an unjustified neg stop you from voicing your opinion.
|
| |
Agreed, and I don't plan on stopping. I guess its just a stupid defensive feeling I get when they do it or something.
|
| |
Hahahah I remember my 1 review for Smile Empty Soul got about 20 (legit) negs from the same person on 20 (legit) different accounts. Don't let it bother you.
|
| |
pretty sure many reviewers die a bit inside for a few seconds when they get a neg. but keep it up, you're doing a great job.
|
| |
Yeah i remember that one. Btw, great Alice In Chains review. Great Read.
Thanks bloc01.

There's some attempts at progression, but it does feel like too little.
Not quite as rehashed as the review makes out (but well written nonetheless) but it still feels like a step down (although this could be because my music taste has matured considerably since their last album...)
|
| |
i will def not pick this up

"As it came to pass, the band flourished, particularly thanks to the easily identifiable singles that gave the common man an anthem to shout and sing along to while the rest of us shook our heads and wondered at the state of the music industry. "
While I more or less agree with your opinion of this album (and band), this seems like sort of an unnecessary comment to make, the implication coming off like the "common men" are a bunch of morons bangin' their heads to Three Days Grace unlike smart folk who hate them.

I agree. Different taste in music doesn't mean different level of intelligence.
